We are Ross and John.

From building and running the website, tasting every coffee, packing your boxes and answering all your questions, we are a two man team who have the brilliant responsibility of making sure that your morning brew is perfect every time.

About us

We are two coffee enthusiasts on a mission to bring you the freshest and most exciting speciality coffees from across the UK. Every month we handpick and taste every single coffee in our boxes, so you can be confident every cup you brew will be exceptional.

We seek out the best small independent roasters, exploring new single origin beans every month. That means you will never be stuck with the same old espresso blends or boring filter coffees. You deserve better coffee, and with Vex Coffee, you will always get it.

Whether you prefer espresso or filter, we send coffee that works perfectly for your brew method. Every box comes with free UK delivery, fresh, expertly roasted and hassle free.

We are a small two man business and we hold each other to an exceptionally high standard. Any problem whatsoever will always get a quick response from one of us, night or day. Your satisfaction matters and if you have any questions or issues, just contact us and we will get back to you within a couple of hours.

The story so far

Vex Coffee began on a drive back to Manchester from Wales. During the journey, we, Ross and John, spent hours brainstorming how to bring our favourite small roasteries in Manchester to a wider audience. We wanted to make exceptional coffee both accessible and affordable while staying true to our commitment to sustainability. That initial spark grew into a platform that connects coffee lovers across the UK with the best small batch roasters from around the country.

Soon after, Ross launched our Instagram and put in a huge amount of work building a following, sharing beautiful, interesting and funny (hmm) reels with our audience. Behind the scenes, we were busy preparing our Kickstarter campaign, which launched on the 8th of September '24 and completed on the 10th of October '24. We exceeded our target and successfully got funded.

Which brings us to today. We spend our time finding, tasting and selecting incredible coffees from our amazing independent roaster partners and shipping them straight to you in our eco friendly boxes.

As we approach 12 months of Vex, we have sent out hundreds of boxes, featuring coffee from 12 different countries and 20 independent roasters. We will continue to discover new and interesting coffees for you to try, and we cannot wait to hear what you think.
